Community First Village - Mobile Loaves and Fishes
Welcome to the most talked about neighborhood in Austin, Texas! Community First! Village is a 51-acre master planned community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. A development of Mobile Loaves & Fishes, this transformative residential program exists to love and serve our neighbors who have been living on the streets, while also empowering the surrounding community into a lifestyle of service with the homeless.
Together through the kind and charitable contributions of local vendors, we as a group Austin based professional Home Stagers, were able to transform three outdoor visitation spaces at Community First’s ‘Entrepreneur Hub’ to provide a social environment for people to congregate, by providing more greenery and sitting opportunities. It took us two months of careful planning, raising contributions, selecting pieces, acquiring new furniture, accessories, and plants.

Planet SAFE
The SAFE Alliance is a merger of Austin Children’s Shelter and Safe Place, both long-standing and respected human service agencies in Austin serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence. Their Mission is to lead in ending sexual assault and exploitation, child abuse, and domestic violence through prevention, intervention, and advocacy for change. Their Vision is to see a just and safe community free from violence and abuse.
Together through the charitable contributions of local vendors and IAHSP (International Association of Home Staging Professionals), we as Austin Chapter members were able to transform two visitation spaces at Planet Safe to provide an intimate environment for children and their parents to interact safely, by providing more light and give a sense of space. It took us two weeks of careful planning, painting walls, installing window film for privacy, acquiring new furniture, art and accessories, and the kind generosity of various vendors we use regularly, like Furniture Escort and Dude.

"The rooms look sooo amazing! You guys did such a fabulous job making our spaces cozy and open and gorgeous! Our families have loved the new rooms. Our staff were so amazed to see the transformation. Thank you all so much for doing such a beautiful job!" Teresa Orduno - PLANET SAFE Manager
"What a treasure to have had you all consider and accept PlanetSafe this year as your project...Your ideas and visions were so fun and real life practical. I appreciate your many visits to our building to measure, photograph, and measure some more!
Today I heard from staff how magical the rooms are, how “homey”’they feel and all the details like the chalkboard, new couches and safe carpeted ledges make it feel so much better. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for making the PlanetSafe building beautiful and the children that come there feel welcome. I hope to sneak over and visit Teresa and her team to test out a bean bag or draw on the chalkboards soon!" Marina Solis - PLANET SAFE
